Is anyone going to wait for a late deal?

We really want to go to Jamaica for our honeymoon. We are asking for money from our guests to go towards it.
We get married 6 sep 2008 and we are going to stay with friends in spain after the wedding.
We were thinking about going the beginning of december, do you think we should wait and see what comes up nearer the time? (plus we'll no how much we have been given).
